六十八輛新港鐵巴士 首輛投入服務 載客量更高、更環保

港鐵全新巴士車隊中的首輛巴士 2016.01.20 投入服務而全數68架新車預計於2017年底前投入服務，
屆時四分之三的港鐵巴士都達到歐盟五期標準，而單層巴士則會轉為後備車，提供緊急或特別服務。

港鐵早前斥資約二億港元購買六十八輛新雙層巴士，陸續淘汰2016 和 2017年退役的巴士。
港鐵新購巴士由瑞典公司富豪（Volvo）於馬來西亞製造，型號為B9TL。
這六十八輛新巴士長十一點三米，採用歐盟第五代引擎，符合新一代嚴格的環保標準。
除配備超低地台設計、巴士到站廣播系統及LED車站提示屏幕等設備外，新巴士亦有多項特色，
包括：   載客量達 126 人，是港鐵巴士車隊載客量最高的車款；
             在巴士上、下層前擋風玻璃上端塗上深綠色顏料，阻隔陽光；以及
             採用 LED 照明系統，讓車廂光線更充足。
