為紓緩早上繁忙時間列車載客率偏高的情況，港鐵公司於 2014年9月推出
「早晨折扣優惠」計劃，鼓勵乘客提早於繁忙時間前乘搭港鐵。

持有成人八達通的乘客在星期一至五 ( 公眾假期除外 ) 早上 07:15 - 08:15 期間，
於任何指定核心市區的特定車站出閘，享有七五折車費優惠。

香港多年前亦曾有人提倡彈性上班制度，港鐵在 88和 90年亦曾推出早晨特惠及
彈性上班優惠，但由於政府和企業無配合，結果彈性上班至今仍然不成氣候。
